Previous Community Service Events
The Capital Alliance of Young Professionals encourages young and young-at-heart professionals to be involved in their communities. CAYP provides ways each month for its members to give back and get involved. We have worked with the following local organizations:

September 2007 - CAYP donated school supplies to Troy Public School #12. Members of CAYP donated supplies throughout the month of August. Mayor Tutunjian matched our gift, making the students very grateful for a large amount of new supplies!
October 2007 - CAYP members joined other volunteers in Crossgates Mall to staff an indoor miniature golf course to raise funds for the Epilepsy Foundation during the Epilepsy Foundation's Golf Across the Capital Region event.
November 2007 - CAYP collected used cellular phones for victims of domestic violence. The phones will be donated to a local shelter where they will be refurbished and provided to victims in case of emergencies.
December 2007 - CAYP and the Science Center of Tech Valley kicked off their partnership with an informational session on how CAYP members can get involved with raising funds for this community project.
December 2007 - The Capital Alliance of Young Professionals raised over $160 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at our holiday party which was hosted at the Corner Well in Menands, NY.
